Snow White and the Dwarves

Lyrics by Judy Fletcher
Music composed and orchestrated by Anthony Joseph Lai

Follow My Heart
In Judy Fletcher's adaptation, Prince Charming is a shy, hesitant, young lad that is unsure of how to go about being a hero.  This song is his transformation into a more confident character.  The lighthearted waltzs gives way to a determined Broadway-rock conclusion.

Something Wonderful
Though there exists iconic Disney music to the Snow White story, I have always been partial to the epic orchestrations of the 1990s Disney animated films.  The idea behind this arrangements was somewhat of an attempt at taking a song that might be sung by Ariel or Belle and giving it to Snow White.

Don't Mess With Me
I always loved the use of the blues in Little Shop of Horrors to convey the attitude of the villanous plant, Audrey II.  When I read Judy's first line of the lyrics and they mentioned eating kids for lunch, I couldn't avoid going the same route for this song sung by the evil Queen.  In this demo, Bonnie Schippling uses her bluesy voice to show the attitude of Snow White's vein and evil step-mother, the Queen.

Trust
The Magic Mirror serves as a narrator and a guide that helps bring Prince Charming to Snow White.  This little number breaks the fourth wall as the Mirror sings to the children of the audience, telling them that they too must follow their heart and listen to their conscience.  This demo uses the voice of Cara Niemann to convey the innocence and genuine spirit of the Magic Mirror.
